Sector wise performance of Bombay Stock Exchange, remained mixed today as BSE Oil&gas Index was down 0.71 percent, BSE Auto Index declined 0.47 percent and BSE FMCG Index also closing down by 0.34 percent. However BSE Power Index gained 1.57 percent, BSE Realty Index moved 1.48 percent higher and BSE Capital Goods Index gained 1.33 percent today.

Reliance Industries Ltd was worst performing stock for today at Bombay Stock Exchange's SENSEX falling 3 percent today. SENSEX closed down by 1.7 percent today and the most watched indian stock index SENSEX lost a whopping 3.7 percent in this week's trade.

BSE | NSE witness lackluster trading day
Benchmark Indian stock indices including Bombay stock exchange's SENSEX and National Stock Exchange's NIFTY witnessed a lackluster trading day today. Investors remained confused over global uncertainity.
Sensex ended at 17481.93, up 17.08 points. The 30-share index touched intraday low of 17278.03 and high of 17527.10 during intraday trading.
The National Stock Exchange's broader index Nifty closed at 5265.75, up 7.30 points. The index touched a high of 5281.60 and low of 5201.85 in trade today.

BSE's SENSEX | NSE's NIFTY closes down on profit booking
benchmark Indian Stock indices including Bombay Stock Exchange's 30 component SENSEX and National Stock Exchange's NIFTY closed slightly lower today as investors booked profits after couple of days rally.
BSE's most watched SENSEX stock index closed down by 0.34 percent at 17025.09 down 57.60 points, Reliance Industries remained most hit stock. National Stock Exchange's broader index NIFTY also closed in red today down 14.07 points at 5118.25.

Indian stock markets down on weak global sentiments
Benchmark Indian Stock Indices including Bombay Stock Exchange's 30 component SENSEX and National Stock Exchange's broader index NIFTY remained in red today and closed down by over 1.5 percent today.
Bombay Stock Exchange SENSEX closed at 16151.45 down 302.31 and broader index NSE's NIFTY closed today at 4849.50 down by 93.75 points on weak global sentiments

Indian Stock markets close down by over 1 percent
The downward trend of Indian stock markets continued as global uncertainity originating from US and Euro zone stopped investors to make fresh purchasing of stocks. The future looks even more bleak. Benchmark Indian indices including Bombay Stock Exchange's SENSEX and National Stock Exchange's NIFTY closed down by over 1 percent each today, I can recall that Indian stock indices crashed yesterday by 700 points thus taking the overall 1000 points plunge in two trading days.
National Stock Exchange's Nifty ended at 4867.75, down 55.90 points or 1.14 percent. The broader index touched a high of 4930.25 during daytrade today.
Bombay Stock Exchange's Sensex closed at 16162.06, down 199.09 points. The most watched 30-share index touched intraday low of 16052.47 today.

SENSEX | NIFTY up as global sentiments boosts markets
Benchmark Indian stock indices including the Bombay Stock exchange's SENSEX and National Stock Exchange's NIFTY closed up by over 1 percent today.
Bombay Stock Exchange's Sensex closed at 17065, up 202.19 points today. The 30-share large-cap index touched low of 16922.31 during intraday trading today.
Whereas National Stock Exchange's broader index Nifty closed at 5124.65, up 60.35 points. The index touched a high of 5154.50 in daytrade today.

SENSEX up 144 points | NIFTY up 39 points
Benchmark Indian stock indices including Bombay Stock Exchange's 30 component SENSEX and National Stock Exchange's NIFTY closed up today thus not following the global peers which are in red or closed lower today.
large-cap SENSEX rose yet again by 144.71 points to close today at 16,821.46. 19 out of 30 components were in green at close today. The broadr index National Stock Exchange's NIFTY closed up by 39 points at 5040 today.

SENSEX | NIFTy ends in green
Benchmark Indian stock indices including Bombay Stock Exchange's 30 component SENSEX and National Stock Exchange's NIFTY saw heavy purchasing today as both closed up by 1 percent today.
30-share large-cap BSE index SENSEX closed at 16,498.47 points up by 156.77 points. Whereas 50-share NSE NIFTY closed up by 50.10 at 4,948.90 points today.

SENSEX | NIFTY closes up by over 1 perc

SENSEX down | NIFTY below 5550 for second day
Benchmark Indian stock indices like Bombay stock exchange's SENSEX and national Stock exchange's NIFTY closed down today, The 0.5 percent interest rate hike by RBI and US Economy degradation played spoilsport for second day. Most of the global stock markets are down.
Bombay Stock Exchange’s Sensex closed at 18430.20, down 88.02 points. The 30-share large-cap index touched intraday low of 18358.76 today.
National Stock Exchange’s Nifty ended at 5545.70, down 29.15 points or 0.52 per cent. The broader index touched a high of 5591.70 and low of 5521.50 in trade today.

BSE SENSEX live at close | NIFTY in red
The benchmark Indian stock indices including the Bombay Stock EXchange's 30 component SENSEX and National Stock Exchange's broader index NIFTY closed in red today with both indices down by over 1 percent.
The BSE's large-cap SENSEX closed at 18335.79, down 249.17 points. The index touched a high of 18610.02 in intraday trading today.
The broader index Nifty closed at 5486.20, down 78.90 points or 1.42 percent.
Sectoral wise updates from BSE:
BSE Midcap Index closed down by 0.91 percent and BSE Smallcap Index slipped 1.06 percent in red.
Almost all of the sectoral indices also closed in red today with BSE Metal Index closing down 2.99 percent, BSE Capital Goods Index declining 1.42 percent and BSE Bankex moved 1.39 percent lower. BSE Realty Index was however up by 0.48 percent.

Sectoral updates of BSE:
BSE Auto Index closed up 1.52 percent, BSE Capital Goods Index also gained 1.27 percent and BSE Bankex closed up by 1.21 percent. BSE Healthcare Index was however down by 1.17 percent and BSE Realty Index declined 0.56 percent.
Market breadth was negative on the BSE with 1243 advances against 1724 declines.
