Indian Stock indices rise on Fed's Optimism

Major Indian stock indices including Bombay stock exchange's SENSEX and National Stock Exchange's NIFTY closed up by nearly 2 percent today as investor sentiments got boosted by Fed's chairman Bernanke's comments.

30 component BSE's SENSEX closed higher by 381.94 points at 19,676.06 , similarly National Stock Exchange's NIFTY also ended on high note as it closed up 118.40 points to close at 5,935.10 . US stocks markets are also in upbeat mood.

SENSEX closes at 1 week low | Indian markets continues to slide

Major Indian stock indices including Bombay Stock Exchange's SENSEX and National Stock Exchange's NIFTY index ended the day at 1 week low as Investors booked profits of yesterday's rise and weak Asian and european stock markets prevented investors to make fresh purchases.

The 30 component SENSEX ended lower by 145.36 points at 19,294.12, It's lowest level for the week. NSE's broader index NIFTY declined by 42.30 points to close at 5,816.70 .

Indian stock markets rise on positive global cues

Benchmark Indian stock indices saw heavy purchasing today thus ending downward trend after INR hit record low of 61.2 yesterday. Investors purchased stock keeping it aside for booking profits later. Meanwhile US stocks markets also rose after promising economic and jobs data for may 2013. The 30 component BSE's SENSEX ended the day at 19,446.30 up by 115 points. 22 out of 30 SENSEX components were seen in green and 8 saw selling today. Broader index NSE's NIFTY ended up by 47.45 points to close at 5,859.00. Sun Pharma rocketed up by 3.57 percent today.

SENSEX | NIFTY cries as INR falls to new record low

Major Indian stock indices including BSE's SENSEX and NSE's NIFTY opened lower today as INR hit the 61 per dollar mark and is expected to go to 70/dollar mark in near future. 30 component SENSEX ended the day at 19,324.77, down by 171.05 points. NSE's broader index NIFTY ended the day at 5,811.55, down by 56.35 points. 21 out of 30 SENSEX components remained in red today. RIL and Banking stocks led the list of losers at BSE today.
