Euro crises pulls BSE's SENSEX | NIFTY down
The benchmark indian stock indices like Bombay Stock Exchange's 30 component SENSEX and National Stock Exchange's NIFTY closed closed down by over 1 percent. The rising uncertainity over European economies was the main reason behind low investor confidence today.

BSE's SENSEX above 19k | Markets up by over 1 perc
The benchmark Indian stock indices including Bombay stock exchange's SENSEX and National stock exchange's broader index NIFTY closed up today by over 1.5 percent. The reason of rise is that Foreign Institutional Investors have purchased stocks of worth 10000 crores in past two days of trading. Also food price index eased to 7.6 percent.
Bombay Stock Exchange's 30 component large-cap index Sensex was at 19078.30, up 351.33 points which is just short of 2 perc. The index hit a low of 18767.25 in intraday trading sessions.

SENSEX | BSE | NIFTY rates at close - in green
Indian stock indices looked in upbeat mood today as both Bombay Stock Exchange's SENSEX and National Stock Exchange's NIFTY closed up today. Stock prices of Capital goods, power and technology stocks went greener whereas Pharma and Auto stocks closed in red.

BSE's SENSEX | NIFTY in upbeat mood closes 1 percent up
Benchmark Indian stock indices saw heavy buying today as both 30 component SENSEX and National Stock Exchange's NIFTY closed up today by over 1 percent. NIFTY ended over 5400 mark today.
The 30 component large-cap Sensex closed at 18044.64, up 197.40 points. The 30-share index hit a high of 18072.61 in day trading today.
The broader index National Stock Exchange's Nifty closed at 5412.35, up 63.40 points today. Oil&gas, metals and auto sector stocks were major gainers today.
BSE Midcap Index closed up by 0.14 percent and BSE Smallcap Index moved 0.46 percent in green.
BSE's Sector wise updates for today:
BSE Oil&gas Index closed up 2.90 percent, BSE Metal Index moved 1.50 percent in green and BSE Auto Index advanced 1.49 percent. BSE IT Index was however down 0.19 percent due to weak showing by TechM and BSE FMCG Index closed 0.07 percent lower.
Market breadth remained positive on the National stock exchange with 1534 advances against 1291 declines.

Indian stock markets in red | BSE | NSE down
Major indian stock indices like Bombay Stock Exchange's 30 component large-cap index SENSEX and National Stock Exchange's NIFTY are trading slightly in red as Indian markets are witnessing lackluster trading day.
NSE's NIFTY is however showing some stiff resistence at 5900 levels today.
The benchmark SENSEX is at 19545.35 down by 38.96 points and NSE's NIFTY at 5868.40 down by 6.10 pts while posting. Heavyweights like HCLTech, Bharti, L&T and Petronet are in green while infosys stock is shedding flab today.

SENSEX | NIFTY closes up by over 1.5 percent
It proved to be good day for Indian stock markets and investors as benchmark indices closed in green by over 1.5 percent. Both Bombay Stock Exchange's SENSEX and NSE'S broader index Nifty closed up by over 110 pts.
Sensex closed at 19470.98, up 349.15 points or 1.83 per cent. The 30-share index hit a high of 19484.77 intraday trading.

BSE | NSE witness heavy selling closes in deep red
The Bombay Stock Exchange's benchmark index Sensex closed at 19091.17, down 295.65 points. The 30-share index hit a low of 19071.47 during intraday trading. Investors becoming bearish on RBI rate news. Market breadth was negative on the BSE with 1713 declines against 1177 advances.
The broader index NSE's Nifty ended at 5729.10, down 94.45 points or 1.64 percent today. The sectoral indices at Bombay Stock Exchange also remained in red today. BSE Midcap Index fell 1.29 percent and BSE Smallcap Index moved 0.81 percent in red.
Sector wise updates from Bombay Stock Exchange:
BSE Realty Index closed down by 3.17 percent, BSE IT Index was also down by 2.73 percent and BSE Capital Goods Index declined 2.12 percent aswell. The global peers also showed lackluster trading and were in red.

Indian stocks in red for fifth day in row
The benchmark stock indices of India including Bombay Stock exchange's SENSEX and National Stock Exchange's NIFTY closed again in red for fifth consuctive day today.
The 30 component SENSEX closed down by 97 percent to 19,262.54 points. The 50-share broader index NIFTY index fell 0.96 percent to close at 5,785.70. 22 components closed down at Bombay Stock Exchange today.

SENSEX | NIFTY closes in green
Bombay Stock Exchange's Sensex closed at 19445.22, up 155.04 points or 0.80 per cent. The 30-share index touched a high of 19575.16 and low of 19284.35 in today's trade.
National Stock Exchange's Nifty ended at 5833.75, up 46.10 points or 0.80 per cent. The broader index touched a high of 5872 and low of 5778.65 intraday.
BSE sector wise today:
BSE IT Index was up 1.92 per cent, BSE FMCG Index gained 1.67 per cent and BSE Oil&gas Index moved 1.44 per cent higher. BSE Bankex was down 0.70 per cent and BSE Healthcare Index slipped 0.35 per cent.
Market breadth remained almost flat on the Bombay Stock Exchange with 1444 advances against 1412 declines.

Political uncertainity pulls SENSEX | NIFTY down today

SENSEX | NIFTY closes up as budget boosts
Finance minister Pranab Mukherjee presented the union budget for 2011-12 today and also increased tax collection base by increasing tax in some areas including IT, SEZ's.
Indian Stock indices like BSE's SENSEX and NSE's Nifty closed up today as investors booked profits from initial rally due to budget announcements.
Bombay Stock Exchange’s 30 component Sensex closed at 17832.12, up 131.21 points. The 30-share index touched a high of 18296.53 in intraday trading.

The broader index Nifty closed at 5333.25, up 29.70 points. The index touched a low of 5308.60 in day's trading.

Indian stock markets closes down by nearly 3 percent
(Posted under BSE closing, NSE closing)- National Stock Exchange’s Nifty ended at 5279.05, down 158.30 points.
The 30 component large-cap index Sensex closed at 17666.20, down 512.13 points. Banks, Realty and Capital goods stocks remained worst hit.

BSE Midcap Index closed down by 2.69 percent and BSE Smallcap Index moved 2.74 per cent lower. BSE Bankex fell 4.33 percent, BSE Capital Goods Index also lowered 3.96 percent and BSE Auto Index fell by over 3.72 percent.

Profit booking drags Indian stock indices down
Good evening to all the esteemed visitors to livebombaystockexchange blog. The news from Indian stock markets like Bombay Stock Exchange and National Stock exchange at closing is bad as benchmark indices closed in red today. Investors booked profits after rally in couple of past trading sessions.
Shares of ADAG group were worst hit today due to selloff. ONGC also declined. National Stock Exchange’s broader index Nifty ended at 5458.95, down 87.50 points. The Bombay Stock Exchange's 30 component index Sensex closed at 18211.52, down 295.30 points today.
Major losers today were Reliance Communications (-6.80%), Reliance Infrastructure (-5.60%) and ONGC (-3.40%).
Market breadth was negative on the BSE with 2085 declines against 773 advances.

SENSEX | NIFTY closes with gains | RIL leads
A very good evening to esteemed visitors, The news from Indian stock indices like Bombay Stock Exchange's SENSEX and National Stock Exchange's NIFTY is good as the indices closed in green for third straight session. However the correction in Indian stock markets with respect to global peers is expected and might be seen in coming days.
The Bombay Stock Exchange's 30 component index SENSEX closed at 18273.80 up by 71.60 points, the main boosting factor was Reliance industries limited. The large cap index touched 18,361.66 in intraday trading today.

The National Stock Exchange's broader index NIFTY closed up by 25 points and was at 5481 points at closing.
BSE Sector Wise closing today:
Oil and gas sector gained the most, up 1.85 percent at close, BSE's Banking index closed up by 1.53 percent to 12,429.32. The PSU index gained 1.10 percent, Bombay Stock Exchange's Auto index closed up by 0.71 percent and power index by 0.14 per cent to 2,639.59 points. BSE's IT sector Index closed in red by 0.40 percent to 6,245.08.

Red bath by Indian Stock markets goes into another day
A very good morning to all the visitor's to my blog. The correction of indian stock indices continued today also with benchmark indices like Bombay Stock Exchange's SENSEX and National Stock Exchange's NIFTY closing down by nearly 1 percent.
Stock prices of technology companies, Realty and Oil and Gas all closed in deep red as SENSEX closed down by 130 points today.
SENSEX closing today:
Bombay Stock Exchange’s Sensex closed at 17463.04, down 129.73 points. The large-cap 30 component index touched a low of 17362.59 in intraday trading.

The broader index Nifty ended at 5225.80, down 27.75 points or 0.53 per cent. The broader index touched a high of 5272.50 in day trading today.
BSE sectorwise today:
BSE IT Index fell by 1.53 percent, BSE Realty Index closed down by 1.03 percent and BSE Oil&gas Index slipped 0.81 percent. BSE Auto Index was however up by 0.83 percent and BSE Power Index also closed 0.82 percent higher. BSE Midcap Index was down 0.11 percent and BSE Smallcap Index ended 0.86 percent lower.

Heavy selling by FII drowns SENSEX | NIFTY in red sea
A very good evening to all the visitors to my blog, The news from Indian stock markets at closing today are not so good as major indian stock indices like Bombay Stock Exchange's 30 component SENSEX and National Stock Exchange's NIFTY closed in deep red color today thus falling more then 500 points in two trading days.
National Stock Exchange's Nifty closed at 5250 today, down over 1 percent or 59 points. The broader index touched a low of 5225.65 during intraday trading.

Majority of the sectoral indices at BSE also closed in deep red today, stock of Anil Ambani led group were worst hit today. BSE Power Index closed down by 4.23 percent, BSE Metal Index was down 3.87 percent and BSE Realty Index fell 3.81 percent. BSE IT Index closed down by 0.33 percent, thus performing better then other sectors today.
The large cap benchmark index Sensex ended the day at 17592.77, down 182.93 points or 1.03 percent.The most watched indian index touched a high of 17864.32 in day trading today.
