Grim economic outlook pulls Indian stock markets down

It turned out to be not so good day for Indian stock markets as major stock indices including BSE's SENSEX and National Stock Exchange NIFTY closed down as economic growth forecast was revised to just 5 percent for this year.

BSE complete Sector-wise companies closing price

Sensex declined by 59.40 points today and closed at 19,580.32, whereas NSE's NIFTY declined by 20.40 points to close at 5,938.80 .

Indian stock markets decline on weak global cues

Benchmark Indian stock indices including Bombay Stock Exchange's SENSEX and National Stock Exchange's NIFTY closed down today thus loosing more then 1.5 percent in a week, much of the decline can be attributed to weak global stock cues leading to FII's taking money out of indian companies.

30 component most followed index BSE's SENSEX declined by 20 points today thus closing at 19,639. NSE's broader index NIFTY ended the day at 5,959 down by 2.30 points. SAIL led the worst stock list by loosing 4.27 perc on government selling stake news.

SENSEX | NIFTY closes down on profit-booking

Benchmark Indian stock indices includes BSE's SENSEX and NSE's NIFTY closed down by 0.5 percent today as investors booked profits and weak global cues affected investor sentiments negatively.

Sector-wise performance report card for BSE

The 30 component BSE's Sensex declined by 91.37 points at 19,659.82. National Stock Exchange's NIFTY also closing down by 30.35 points, thus closing at 5,956.90 today. Indian Tobacco company remained the worst hit stock declining by 1.58 percent to Rs 302.05 . Almost all of the sectoral indices at BSE declined today.
