SENSEX | NIFTY closes in green

Bombay Stock Exchange's Sensex closed at 19445.22, up 155.04 points or 0.80 per cent. The 30-share index touched a high of 19575.16 and low of 19284.35 in today's trade.

National Stock Exchange's Nifty ended at 5833.75, up 46.10 points or 0.80 per cent. The broader index touched a high of 5872 and low of 5778.65 intraday.

BSE sector wise today:
BSE IT Index was up 1.92 per cent, BSE FMCG Index gained 1.67 per cent and BSE Oil&gas Index moved 1.44 per cent higher. BSE Bankex was down 0.70 per cent and BSE Healthcare Index slipped 0.35 per cent.

Market breadth remained almost flat on the Bombay Stock Exchange with 1444 advances against 1412 declines.

Sectoral updates of BSE:
BSE Auto Index closed up 1.52 percent, BSE Capital Goods Index also gained 1.27 percent and BSE Bankex closed up by 1.21 percent. BSE Healthcare Index was however down by 1.17 percent and BSE Realty Index declined 0.56 percent.

BSE | NSE ends two week selling spree

Indian stock indices including Bombay Stock Exchange's SENSEX and National Stock exchange's NIFTY gained over5 percent in last week.

Bombay Stock Exchange bellwether Sensex saw buying activity through out the week and surged by 936.83 points, or 5.23 percent. The stock prices of IT companies gained the most on friday over news that STPI should be extended by one more year, which should not be done as IT market is currently on rise and extension is not required at all.

Indian stock indices closes in green today

A very good evening to all the visitors to livebombaystockexchange blog. Major Indian stock indices including 30 component SENSEX and broader index NIFTY closed in green today.

National stock exchange's Nifty closed at 5480.25, up 66.40 points touching a low of 5401.95 today.

Whereas Bombay Stock Exchange's 30 component SENSEX closed up by 217.86 points and was at 18206.16.

Majority of the sectoral indices at Bombay Stock Exchange also remained in green through out the day: BSE Realty Index closed up 1.92 percent, BSE Bankex also gained 1.85 percent and BSE Healthcare Index closed 1.51 percent higher.

Indian markets rise after 3 days of fall SENSEX | NIFTY up

The benchmark Indian stock indices like Bombay Stock Exchange's SENSEX and National Stock Exchange's large-cap NIFTY closed in green today after closing down for 3 trading days.

NSE's Nifty closed at 5413.85, up 49.10 points. The broader index touched a low of 5376.15 in intraday trading.

Bombay Stock Exchange's Sensex closed at 17839.05, down 39.76 points. The 30-share large-cap index touched a high of 18007.73 day trading today.

The broader index Nifty closed at 5364.75, down 8.95 points. The index touched a low of 5348.20 during trading hours today.

Bombay Stock Exchange Sector wise updates:
BSE Realty Index was down 0.92 percent lower, BSE IT Index was down 0.73 percent and BSE Capital Goods Index declined 0.32 percent. BSE Healthcare Index moved 0.15 per cent higher and BSE Bankex gained 0.04 percent.

Market breadth was negative on the NSE with 1696 losers as compared to 1178 gainers.

Indian Stock Indices crying since two weeks now

Major world stock indices remained down for two consuctive weeks, first was the Earthquake in Japan followed by TSunami, which devastated world's third largest economy and would surely increase the debt of japanese government to new highs, The second reason was rising unrest in middle-east Libya and now Bahrain, The main reason for middle-east unrest is oil and according to my own judgement this is being propelled by developed economies headed by biggest and worst USA, looks like they want to own each and every oil field of world. Time for downfall of US has already started and that is in form of China. Indian stock markets are down, SENSEX and NIFTY closing in red for two weeks in a row.

Coming back to Indian stock markets, In past two weeks- RIL(Reliance Industries Ltd) fell the most in nearly 11 months and closed 3.7% lower at 993.2.

The 30-share BSE SENSEX index declined 1.49%, or 271.06 points, to 17,878.8 in this week. FDI or black money invested in indian stocks have taken ack 1.7 billion thus pulling SENSEX down by more than 12 percent.

It was a good day for indian stock markets as benchmark indices like Bombay Stock Exchange's SENSEX and National Stock Exchange's NIFTY closed up by over 1 percent.

Sensex closed at 18358.69, up 191.05 points. The 30-share large-cap index touched a high of 18444.47 during intraday trading hours today.

The broader index NSE's NIFTY also closed in green today, The index Nifty closed at 5511.15, up 61.50 points which is more then 1 percent. The index touched a low of 5475.95 in daytrade today.

Sector-wise updates from BSE today:

BSE Realty Index gained 2.47 percent today, BSE Bankex moved 2.15 percent in green and BSE Auto Index also closed up by 1.41 percent. BSE Midcap Index closed up 1.37 percent and BSE Smallcap Index moved 1.26 percent higher at closing today thus not following the global peers today.

Japan Fears pulls Indian Stock down today

Major stock indices in India closed lower today as the Japenese crises worsened and Japan's NIKKEI crashed by more then 10 percent today, India's 30 component benchmark index Sensex ended at 18167.64, down 271.84 points. Nifty also closed at 5449.65, down 81.85 points today.

EarthQuake jolts World Stock markets | SENSEX NIFTY in red

Indian Stock markets like Bombay Stock Exchange and National Stock Exchange saw selling activities. Both SENSEX and NIFTY closed lower today.

The 30 component Sensex closed at 18174.09 down 153.89 points. The large-cap index touched a low of 18063.29 in intraday trading immediately after Earthquake news.

Nifty closed at 5445.45, down 48.95 points today. The broader index touched a high of 5502.70 in day trading.

Sectorwise Performance of BSE:
BSE Metal Index fell 1.91 percent lower, BSE IT Index slipped 1.49 percent and BSE Power Index was down 1.49 percent. BSE Oil&gas Index was up 0.81 percent and BSE FMCG Index was up 0.03 percent.

Major Indian Stock indices closed down today as investors looked cautiously, with rising fears of double dip recession, Rising inflation in developing countries.

Bombay Stock Exchange’s 30 component large-cap index Sensex closed at 18327.98 down 141.97 points.

Whereas National Stock Exchange’s Nifty was at 5494.40 at closing, down 36.60 points.

(Posted under - SENSEX closing, NIFTY closing )- Sensex ended at 18439.65 up 216.98 points today with ONGC, Bharti and Suzlon gaining the most today.

The broader index Nifty closed at 5520.80, up 57.65 points today.

Bombay Stock Exchange Sector wise closing-
All of the sectoral indices at Bombay Stock Exchange closed up today BSE IT Index was up 1.90 percent, BSE Metal Index moved 1.49 percent higher and BSE Bankex moved 1.48 percent up.

Market breadth was positive on the BSE with 1777 advances against 1059 declines.

Political uncertainity pulls SENSEX | NIFTY down today

With the increasing uncertainity between corrupt DMK and similar congress party, Indian markets reacted negatively on this news.

The benchmark indian stock indices like Bombay Stock Exchange 30 component SENSEX and National Stock Exchange's NIFTY closed down by more then 1.5 percent today.

Bombay Stock Exchange's Sensex closed at 18222.67, down 263.78 point. The 30-share large-cap index touched a low of 18058.71 in intraday trading.

The broader index Nifty closed at 5463.15, down 75.60 points. The index touched a high of 5491.25 in intraday trading today.

SECTOR-WISE Closing details for Bombay Stock Exchange:

All of the sectoral indices at BSE today closed in deep red BSE Auto Index fell 2.55 percent, BSE Capital Goods Index was down 2.36 percent, BSE Realty Index pulled 1.66 percent down and BSE Bankex down by 1.60 percent.

Market breadth was negative at BSE with 1972 losers.

Indian Stock indices skyrocketed today as budget finally boosted indian stock markets, both Bombay stock exchange and National Stock Exchange looked in festive mood today with indices like 30 component large-cap SENSEX and national Stock Exchange's NIFTY rising by over 3 percent today.

Nifty closed at 5522.30, up 189.05 points. The broader index touched a low of 5373.55 during intraday trade.

The 30 companies benchmark index SENSEX closed at 18446.50, up 623.10 points. The 30-share index touched a high of 18478.68 in day trading.

Another major news about Budget is that it has brought LLC under tax net of 18.5 percent Alternate Tax, Hence Mukesh Ambani's RIL stake which he distributed in 27 LLC's is bound for Tax, I could not stop laughing at this news as a phone from ministry to Mukesh Ambani would already have told "This time you can try way X as under this method you still dont have to pay tax. The announcement about LLC tax is only for those who do not give proper share to Finance ministry..... Well this is entirely my supposition and might not be actual correct or would never be revealed(if it is correct).
