BSE's SENSEX today | Indian markets analysis for today

Major Indian stock indices saw purchasing spree today and closed up by over 1.5 percent today, whereas other major world indices closed down or are trading down.

The 30 component large-cap index SENSEX closed at 18439.48, up 265.39 points. The 30-share index touched a low of 18155.43 in intraday trading today.

The broader index National Stock Exchange Nifty closed at 5531.50. The index touched a high of 5537.30 in day trade.
