(30/1/2015 StockInvestingtips bereau) - Benchmark Indian stock indices witnessed heavy selling today as investors booked profits from banking stocks. Bombay Stock Exchange's blue chips index SENSEX ended the day at 29182.95 down by 498.82 points today. Banking index stocks
led the list of top losers as stocks of ICICI bank, SBI, HDFC fell the most today.
Broader index NSE's NIFTY closed the proceedings at 8808.90 points, a decline of 143 points from yesterday's close. All of the sectoral indices at Bombay Stock Exchange were painted in red today. BSE's MIDCAP index declined by 0.30 percent today while the Small Cap index closed down by 0.43 percent today.
