SENSEX | NIFTY smiles on strong global cues

It turned out to be a very good trading day for indian stock markets as benchmark indices including BSE's SENSEX and National Stock Exchange's NIFTY closed higher today.

Strong global economic clues and interest rates cut hope by RBI boosted investor confidence. BSE index closed higher by 207.89 points, at 19,570.44 . NSE broader index NIFTY closed higher by 57.75 points at 5,908.95 . Banking stocks were the major gainers today.
