S&P BSE Carbonex Index Constituents list

(24/2/2015 BSE Carbonex Index): Bombay Stock exchange is oldest asian stock exchange in world. It has numerous sectoral indices and theme based indices which show developments of stocks in a particular sector. Bombay Stock exchange launched it's CARBONEX index in November 2012
which lists 30 companies which are considered as benchmark in carbon emission control of their particular sector. These companies varies from IT, manufacturing, Oil and gas etc. BSE's Carbonex index is based on BSE 100 index . Carbonex Index is index that holistically incorporates strategies, disclosures, performance and action in areas of carbon emission to create a comprehensive benchmark that identifies a company’s commitment to mitigate risks arising from climate change. BSE Carbonex Index is maintained by BSE Index Committee

Weightage of Constituents of BSE's Carbonex index is taken from three basic factors of a company:
1)Strategy and Governance - 40%
2)Reporting and Disclosures - 30%
3)Performance and Achievement - 20%
4)Ecosystem Action - 10%

BSE carbonex index follows a semi annual rebalancing calender and constituents can be removed or added into the index if some merger, acquisition takes place.
