(16/2/2015 StockInvestingTips Bureau) Indian Stock indices witnessed a highly volatile trading day today as benchmark stock indices including Bombay Stock Exchange's
SENSEX and National Stock Exchange's NIFTY index fluctuated a lot before finally settling down slightly in green today.
BSE's SENSEX gained 230 points today during initial hours of today's trade, However Initial gains were subdued as Greek debt woes crept into stock market floor. The 30 component blue chip index ended the day's proceedings at 29135.88, up by 40.95 points. Broder index NSE's NIFTY closed up by 3.85 points at 8809.35 points. Stocks from Banking, Oil and Gas and Pharma stocks remained subdued as investors displayed caution ahead of Euro zone meetings about Greek debt.
Stock markets investors got some sentiment boost from decrease in WPI for january and moreover investors hope interest rate cuts by RBI in coming months.
