SENSEX | NIFTY rises over 2.7 percent on Energy stocks

It was a good day for Indian stock markets as benchmark stock indices Bombay Stock Exchange's SENSEX and NSE's NIFTY skyrocketed more then 2 percent to close above the 19000 and 5800 mark respectively after government increased rates of domestic production of Natural gas to $8.4/mmbtu which is almost double of the current government price, Thus now probably Reliance shall get more output from KG Basin.

All of the energy sector stocks closed higher with Reliance Industries up by 31 rupees at 861.45 per share. Stock proce of BPCL closed up by 5.74 percent at Rs 365.60, Indian oil closed higher by 5.04 percent at Rs 234.55, ONGC up by 2.98 percent today. AT BSE's SENSEX apart from HUL all other 29 components closed higher.

SENSEX closed higher by 519.86 points at 19,395.81 today, whereas National Stock Exchange's broader index NIFTY rose by 159.85 points to close at 5,842.20 today.
