Indian stock markets up as TCS, RIL rise

Major Indian stock indices including the BSE's SENSEX and NSE's NIFTY index closed higher today as strong global sentiments helped investors.

The 30 component Sensex closed higher by 98 points, to close the day's proceedings at 19,673.64. The broader index National Stock Exchange Nifty rose by 27.05 points thus closing at 5,971.05 today.
