Indian stock markets down on weak global cues

Benchmark Indian stock indices including BSE's SENSEX, NSE's NIFTY closed lower today as profit booking and weak global sentiments dragged indices down. All of the sectoral indices at BSE and NSE closed in red for the day.

The 30 component Bombay Stock Exchange's Sensex dropped 239.31 points to end the day at 18,801.64. While National Stock Exchange index Nifty declined by 75.20 points at 5,672.90 .
