Indian Stock markets mixed SENSEX | NIFTY closes in green

Major Indian stock indices like Bombay Stock Exchange's 30 component most watched SENSEX and National Stock Exchange's NIFTY closed in green today as investors showed some purchasing activity. The most watched SENSEX closed over 16000 mark today.

However Market breadth was negative on the BSE with 1105 gainers against 1620 losers. If we see sectorwise performance for today then BSE Metal Index was up 2 percent, BSE Oil&gas Index moved 1.19 percent higher, BSE Auto Index gained 1.04 percent and BSE Power Index moved 0.92 percent higher. BSE Capital Goods Index declined 0.77 percent.
